On the Radar map, the lightning strikes never show up...is it a glitch? Other than that great app.

When I first saw WeatherNation I thought I was back in the good old days of The Weather Channel when youd actually get the weather. WeatherNation has live anchors, a modern set, forecast breaks with nice music, advanced graphics and accurate forecasts, all day. Since The Weather Channel hooked up with NBC things arent the same. I cant tolerate Al Roker, hes annoyingly unfunny and should stick with The Today Show doing parades. If I want documentaries Ill watch one of several Discovery channels but I want weather 24/7 and now someone has the sense to bring that format back. The app is full of neat features and the paid version allows you to watch it live. I live on the Gulf Coast and during hurricane season we need the weather right now, not following a "weathermentary and WeatherNation gives exactly that. Cable could replace The Weather Channel with WeatherNation anytime for me.

I like everything about this App. The one problem I am having is that it is freezing the phone. (Pun intended) It has a tendency to lock up the screen when phone comes out of sleep mode. The whole screen looks to be shifted down one space. The only button that works is the top one. So the only way I have found to unlock it is to go to the shut down screen then hit cancel.

This was a solid app from a great service. Unfortunately, the last forced upgrade broke the app on IOS 5.1.1 and no amount of delete and reload helps. Fail mode is on starting the app, the iPhone screen blinks black and returns without the app running.

IT guys here need to make an app that doesnt crash 14 seconds into the video. Bought it, but deleted it. Dont waste your $$!

Finally a weather application that is intelligent and speaks to my question. If I want a 72 hour outlook , its there. If I want to hear from a person trained in providing detailed weather information to an inquisitive layman, WeatherNation is there for me. Thank you Weather Nation team. :-)

I dont watch the streaming weather videos so thats not a part of this review. *brief review* The app loads quickly and weather info is accurate. The map has a lot of options and overlays which is important. There are many different views which are easily accessed. The only complaint is on the extended forecast all the text is cut off there is now way to extend or view the forecast. Also there is no text descriptions of the upcoming forecast which is standard in even the worse weather apps.

I wrote a long review and accidentally backed out and lost it. So Im just going to say if you want to gain viewers you need to make a good first impression. I love what you do with live weather but my cable provider doesnt carry you so I downloaded the app and PAID for it and I cant even stream video because it crashes every 3 seconds and wont work. PLEASE FIX VIDEO STREAM.

Nice app but dont charge if you cant deliver reliable video streaming. This is a huge plus for those of us who are coming over to Weather Nation from TWC due to DirecTV. Being able to see the actual coverage while away from home is nice but not when the stream crashes after 5 or 6 seconds. Had it stream once for 15 seconds but still not acceptable.

Nice app, like to see airplay support on the video stream and alerting.

... But i did not! The streaming feature was why I wanted to upgrade to the paid version. It is horrible. I have paid for .99 for other apps that are 100% better than this. I cant get more than 5 secs before it crashes. Take my word, wait until they fix this before you make the same mistake!!

Great app minus the streaming live video. It works for 10-15 seconds and then crashes.

Live video crashes just as others say.Advise not to buy till it is fixed if you want live tv.

The latest update still has some glitches in live steaming b video. Will play for 15-20 seconds then jump back 5 seconds and keeps jumping back during steaming. Seems to smoothly steam the weather on demand segments. Hope the live video gets fixed.

Simple uncluttered screens. No video problems using iPhone 5s, but it would be nice if the bottom menu is customizable, I would prefer the map button to be on the first page.

Its nice to have the live video feed but it runs 8-20 seconds and then disappears and then you are unable to restart.

I upgraded to the paid version for the sole purpose of being able to watch the 24/7 live stream. It stops working after about 10 seconds.

While the video is clear, it only plays for 4-5 seconds before stopping. Not worth spending money for a feature that doesnt work.

Video streaming keeps cutting out every 12 sec. Every time I start the app it whines about location, even after I gave it my ZipCode, guys, thats all you -need-. Worry about app quality first, worry about tracking later. Severe weather alert button was on second page, dont cha think a severe alert rates a front page position? One word, "iPad". There is some promise here, but needs a lot of work.

Those complaining need to look at their wireless setup and internet providers. This new user sends kudos for a beautiful and functional app, both iOS and Roku.
